SCANDIC BYPARKEN, Bergen – A Smart Stay in the City

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms I stayed in during my entire trip to Norway and Iceland were a little small. They lacked the possibility to open the window, which made it less pleasant. On the bright side, the service was excellent, with the staff being wonderful and helpful throughout my stay. The location was fantastic, especially for those arriving or leaving via train, but it was a bit crowded and had inconveniently placed electric sockets. The dining experience was superb, offering a wide range of delicious dishes. Despite the small rooms, the hotel's strong points were the friendly and helpful service, great location, and excellent dining choices.

The hotel had rooms that were in good condition but smaller compared to other places we stayed in Scandinavia, and cleanliness was lacking, leading to an overall disappointing experience. However, the nights were quiet, offering a decent rest. The service was exceptional with helpful and friendly staff assisting us with early check-in and luggage storage. The location was outstanding, centrally located with easy access to the airport shuttle and train station, although the neighborhood could get loud at times. The dining experience was excellent with a top-notch breakfast spread but the interior seemed a bit dated. Despite some drawbacks, the overall value for money was reasonable.

The location is very central and convenient, eliminating the need for transportation to major attractions. The dining experience was pleasant in a lively restaurant area. The facilities were satisfactory, offering a good overall experience.

The rooms, although a bit cramped with three beds, could benefit from an upgrade to the Superior option for extra space. The service was excellent, with helpful and chatty staff.
